Jnana Yoga Training

Jnana Yoga is the way of cognition of the impersonal Divine principle through abstract philosophical search for Truth. This process can be described as “conscious perception of absolute consciousness”, and it is a long, step-by-step practice of inner self-knowledge (svadhyaya).

Jnana Yoga is taught in Sacred Yoga Course.

You will use the mind to expand the boundaries of your consciousness, study what nature has put into you, and transcend the identification of the mind with your thoughts and ego. The ultimate goal of Jnana Yoga is to get rid of limiting thought forms and incorrect perceptions, as well as to achieve the union of the inner Self (Atman) with the absolute origin of being (Brahman). You will be able to achieve this through the constant practice of the strongest techniques of internal analysis, self-reflection and conscious enlightenment, embedded in the Four Pillars of Knowledge.

What will you learn during the Jnana Yoga Training?

The training process in International Esoteric Association Source of Energy will include a block with Four Pillars of Knowledge (sadhana chatushtaya). This is a multi-stage work on one’s own consciousness to achieve calmness and liberation:

  • Viveka means discrimination and refers to the development of the ability to distinguish between reality and illusion, “me” and “not-me”. It is a constant practice that becomes part of the practitioner’s daily experience.
  • Vairagya means non-attachment and refers to the development of non-attachment to mundane objects, people, places and situations. When you cling to things (attachment) or push them away (disgust), you transfer part of your identification to them. Only by getting rid of these attachments you will have the opportunity to free your mind so that the realization of the true Self can occur.
  • Shatsampat are six mental practices known as “virtues”. They bring harmony to the mind and emotions, with their help you can achieve deeper states of meditation and transcendence.
  • Shama – pacification;
  • Dama – containment, control;
  • Uparati – withdrawal, renunciation;
  • Titiksha – endurance, patience;
  • Shraddha – faith, trust;
  • Samadhana – concentration.
  • Mumukshutva means aspiration and refers to the development of a strong desire for moksha (liberation from suffering) and unity. This is the fire and drive behind the motivation to practice. It is a total commitment to a path fueled by a fervent passion for achieving enlightenment. It overshadows all other desires.

These practices complement each other, and therefore they should be practiced in a sequential order. At the next stage, the Masters will accompany you in conducting the three main practices that Jnana Yoga implies in Kyiv or Cyprus:

  • Shravana – hearing or experiencing sacred knowledge from the ancient Vedic texts of the Upanishads;
  • Manana – reflection on these teachings of non-duality;
  • Nididhyasana is a constant and deep meditation on the inner Self.
